But Jorginho quickly piled on the misery for the home side by coolly slotting home, rikvip club leaving Milan a mountain that they were ultimately unable to climb.

Jorginho converted the spot in the 21st minute - a full three minutes after the referee blew for the foul in the first place, as he was made to sweat before firing the Blues ahead. 

His strike was then followed up by deadline day signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on 34 minutes, as Chelsea completed a double over the Rossoneri, having thrashed the Italian side 3-0 at Stamford Bridge six days ago.  
And it is not the first instance in which rival fans have resorted to the use  laser pens to distract a penalty taker in a high-profile fixture.

Earlier this year Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah prepared to take a penalty for Egypt against Senegal in order to help his side qualify for the Qatar World Cup, but with lasers pens in his face he missed.  
Referee Daniel Siebert pointed to the spot when the Canadian-born England centre-half appeared to pull down Mason Mount in the box. 
However, the award of the spot kick itself has come in for criticism and many viewers quickly took to social media to vent their outrage. 
Mohamed Salah also suffered a similar ordeal in Egypt's World Cup qualifier against Senegal
One angry football fan wrote: 'That red card for Tomori is one of the worst I've seen. Ref has no control.'
Another added: 'If VAR does not reverse this decision to send off Tomori then the game is absolutely gone, what a disgusting decision.'
And a third claimed: 'Ref's lost the plot, no chance that's a red for Tomori.'
