Sony Introduces PlayStation Stars Loyalty Program For Gamers

Rights groups and the Maasai community say the villages are outside the park's boundaries, and that villagers were the victims of a violent police crackdown aimed at forcing them off their traditional lands to make way for trophy hunting by tourists and conservation.

Sony on Thursday introduced its PlayStation Stars loyalty program for PS5 and PS4 gamers. It'll be free to join, and players will be able to earn loyalty points by completing a variety of campaigns and activities. Players can choose from a catalog of options to redeem points, including PlayStation Network wallet funds and select PlayStation Store products.

The company, which aims to run analytics on data stored on blockchain as well as outside of it for smart contracts, plans to use the funding to hire more engineers, said Nate Holiday, co-founder, Space and Time.

"There is massive amounts of data and use cases coming from blockchain technology's multi-chain world, and insights and data from centralized data stores ... and Space and Time sits at the bridge that links them," Holiday said.

"On the aspect of prohibiting games of chance (e.g. gambling websites or apps) being played online, the proposed Digital India Act can include it in the list of prohibited user harms that will not be permitted," the report stated.

After receiving suggestions from India's revenue department, the government panel stated that online gaming companies should be required to report any "suspicious transactions" to the government's Financial Intelligence Unit.
